by Wally and Susan Gudgell, the culmination of three decades in real

Wally Gudgell, Jr.,

With 35 years of experience and an unparalleled sales record, Wally is
a second-generation realtor from Orcas Island. His expertise includes
land use, private island sales, high-end waterfront, view properties,
commercial investments, utility issues and finance. He is a
Founder/Director of Islanders Bank, a Founder/Executive Board member of
the SeaDoc Society, and has worked with numerous conservation entities
to help preserve key areas in the islands and provide affordable

non-profits. She and Wally have two young daughters and a grown son,

Alison is the navigator for the Gudgell Properties office and keeps it
humming smoothly. Her intelligent focus and top-notch skills were
developed through a professional history in film production prior to
moving to the San Juans. Since coming here, Alison devotes tireless
energy to community causes and is a major participant in keeping our
public school district healthy. She is raising her son and daughter on
Orcas Island.

Rounding out our team with awesome skill and professionalism, Kristen
brings life experiences including a degree in wilderness leadership, 13
years owning a sea kayak touring business, and 20 years as a successful
ceramic artist. After 16 years on the island she, her husband and two
children built their own house and, finding she loved the property
search and homebuilding process, decided to join GP. Kristen has
quickly demonstrated her natural acumen in helping clients find and
purchase their perfect island place, following through with enthusiasm,

Lydia has an extensive background in property development and design.
She and husband John originally had a construction business in
California, then carried that experience to Orcas. They have built and
sold over thirty high quality, architecturally designed island homes in
the past 13 years. Lydia has a keen eye for matching buyers with just
the right property. Raising three children on the island has given her
a special understanding of the exceptional value of island living for

We are pleased to welcome Gwyneth, an eight year veteran with an
outstanding record in Orcas Island real estate. She joins our
independent office after honing her skills in a franchise setting, and
with experience in advertising, marketing and business. Gwyneth
discovered the islands during a retreat at Camp Orkila in 1986 and
decided to make this her home. Since then she has completed her Life
Skills Coaching Training (ITP) and become a certified Feng Shui
consultant, both areas that enhance and complement her career in
property sales. She is active in community activities and currently
serves in the Kiwanis Club and as a Board member and actor with the
